How do I add an API Key to Coinigy?

If you would like to trade directly from within Coinigy, you will need to add the API keys from all of the exchanges that you have accounts on. Please refer to https://www.coinigy.com/bitcoin-exchanges/ to see what exchanges Coinigy supports. In order to add the keys, follow these steps:

    1. First, log in to your Coinigy.com account.

    2. Once logged in, click on the 'Settings' button in the upper right corner. In the dropdown menu that appears, click on 'API Accounts'.

    3. Once inside the API Accounts page, find the box 'Exchange' box under 'Add API Account'. Find and click the exchange you are trying to add to Coinigy (Note: Some exchanges give you the option of allowing an API account to have

the ability to transfer funds -- make sure you disable this function).

    4. Once you have chosen your exchange, carefully input an account nickname, API key, API secret, and passphrase. You will need to access your API page in the exchange for your key, secret, and passphrase. (e.g. gdax.com)

    5. Once all of the API information has been added, click the 'Confirm' button. You are now able to use Coinigy as a trading platform for the respective exchange.

  • It still isn't clear to me why I cannot enable trading for some market places. Binance is 1 of the most important trading places at the moment.

  • Hi Mailjwvk,
Unfortunately, we do not currently support trading for all exchanges, however, we are working one by one to get them all working as quickly as we can. We really appreciate your patience on this. In regards to Binance, trading has been disabled because of issues with the exchange itself. You may see this blog post for more information: https://blog.coinigy.com/2018/03/binance-trading-an-update-on-what-happened-moving-forward/

  • Hi,
I am still on "early adopter" mode, and my Binance API won't work even for checking the balance. Understand it won't work for trading, but at least would expect to see my portfolio in Coinigy so I can properly evaluate the platform.
